Thorton Skatepark

Description: Thornton is on of those “if only” parks. this park would be fun “if only”. The skate park is laid out kind a weird and the crash-up derby factor is very high because of it the stairs and rails are a good idea, but the way they’re set up could have been much better. The coping (for grinding) in most spots is very buried and slow, and the ramp-tech pyramid things were kind a small and not too workable. We still managed to have some enjoyable at this park though. It’s a good warm-up spot if you just want to cruise around for a while and hit some enjoyable hips. after about a hour and a half, I was ready to move on.
