The Monterey Skate Park features fun and exciting elements that will challenge skateboarders and in-line skaters of all skills and abilities. More than 40 local skaters and youth participated in the design, development and construction process. The park was built with funds from the City's Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP), which directs tourist-generated tax dollars directly into the City's residential neighborhoods.

Come visit the new and improved skatepark in Monterey, California! The 16-year-old park, located next to Dennis the Menace Park and overlooking El Estero, expanded by 4,000 square feet with new ramps and pipe rails among the new features.

The park is being paid for by the city’s Neighborhood Improvement Program, a fund that sets aside money from hotel taxes for community and neighborhood projects.
