Designed for all ages, the skateboard plaza within Confederation Park boasts a diverse set of features, including a dedicated bowl area. Whether riders are seeking ramps for aerial maneuvers, bowls for flow, or ledges and rails for technical tricks, the park's layout caters to the preferences of a broad spectrum of skateboarders. The concrete infrastructure ensures durability and a smooth riding surface, contributing to an enjoyable and dynamic skateboarding experience.
Confederation Park's skateboard plaza is open 24/7, providing skaters with continuous access to the facility. This flexibility allows enthusiasts to skate at their convenience, whether during daylight hours or under the park's lighting for night sessions.
Situated in Confederation Park in north Burnaby, the skateboard plaza is easily accessible. Visitors can utilize designated parking stalls, with six available in total. Four parking stalls are conveniently located in the surface parking area accessed from Beta Ave, while an additional two stalls are provided near the lawn bowling green, accessed from Penzance Dr.
Proper safety equipment, including a securely strapped helmet, shin and wrist guards, and elbow and knee pads, is strongly recommended. For the safety of small children, adult supervision is required. Additionally, the consumption of food, drinks, or alcohol within the skateboard plaza is prohibited.
