Belmont opens its newest recreational attraction, the Belmont Skate Park, on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022. This project has been sixteen years in the making. Join us on this episode as we learn the history, the catalyst, and the work it took to make this project reality. Keanu interviews Martha Stowe, a fourteen-year City Council member, and Matt Morgan, a local skate enthusiast and owner of Textile Skate company.

Martha shares why she has worked to make this project a reality from the beginning of her tenure as councilwoman.

Matt tells us what sets our skate park apart, the intentionality behind the design and a few local events to look forward to with the opening of our skate park, including a Red Bull-sponsored skate expo Saturday, June 25th.

The new skate park is located south of the Belmont City Works building on E. Catawba St.
