Jaylin (Jay for short) would be a great instructor because he loves skateboarding. It’s how he made friends when he first moved to Lockhart. It took him a good year to do the simple things, because nobody taught him the fundamentals. Now almost 15 years later, he’s mastered the fundamentals all the way to some very cool intermediate and advanced tricks and is ready to help others learn them with less hassle.
Safety comes first so before anyone hops on a skateboard, Jay will first start with introductions, take questions, make sure all safety equipment and skateboards are set up for success, and then he’ll begin assessing what skills they already have when it comes to skateboarding.
Jay understands skateboarding can be daunting to someone who’s never tried it before, so he’ll never try and push the student pass what they’re capable of unless the reward heavily outweighs the risk.
