Visited my hometown skate park in Torrington, Wyoming. This skate park was constructed near the same time I started skating and consisted of a layout similar to a baseball field with a lower section. The ramps in the lower section was comprised of a pyramid and quarter pipe. The upper section included a mini ramp, hips, two boxes with rails, and a quarter pipe. The surface of the concrete was pretty rough and eroded my wheels fairly quickly from a two hour skate. The ramps were made of metal. I had not skated metal ramps in nearly 12 years, but the ramps felt great to skate. However, it did take a little bit to get re-familiar with the way metal ramps ride with respect to riding. I did not notice any lack of grip while skating. The rails were heavily rusted, which tells me that they have not been regularly skated. Even with wax, the center rail was slow. due to the width of the rail and the frames I was riding, I felt that I was falling off of my royale due to being bucked off from the profile of the frames. It was fun revisiting my old stomping ground and recreating legacy tricks.
