West Sand Lake is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Rensselaer County, New York, United States. The population was 2,439 at the 2000 census. The community is located in the northwest corner of the town of Sand Lake.
West Sand Lake is located at 42°38′40″N 73°36′21″W / 42.64444°N 73.60583°W / 42.64444; -73.60583 (42.644579, -73.605928).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.8 square miles (12 km), of which, 4.7 square miles (12 km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km) of it (0.84%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,439 people, 907 households, and 685 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 514.1 per square mile (198.7/km²). There were 944 housing units at an average density of 199.0/sq mi (76.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.89% White, 0.16% African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.49% Asian, and 0.33% from two or more races. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
