Waynoka is a city in Woods County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 927 at the 2010 census. It is 4 miles away from Little Sahara State Park.
Waynoka is located at 36°35′3″N 98°52′47″W / 36.58417°N 98.87972°W / 36.58417; -98.87972 (36.584060, -98.879714).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 993 people, 453 households, and 252 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,034.0 people per square mile (399.4/km²). There were 582 housing units at an average density of 606.0 per square mile (234.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 92.65% White, 2.32% African American, 1.51% Native American, 1.01% from other races, and 2.52% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.14% of the population.

Do you want to learn skateboarding?

Discover all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Waynoka skate park.
