Wauneta is a village in Chase County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 625 at the 2000 census.
Wauneta is located at 40°25′1″N 101°22′19″W / 40.41694°N 101.37194°W / 40.41694; -101.37194 (40.417072, -101.372019).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 625 people, 280 households, and 180 families residing in the village. The population density was 817.4 people per square mile (317.5/km²). There were 325 housing units at an average density of 425.1 per square mile (165.1/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.16% White, 0.16% Black or African American, none Native American, 0.48% Asian, 0.16% Pacific Islander, 2.72% from other races, and 0.32% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.72% of the population.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Wauneta skate park.
