Waite is a town in Washington County, Maine, United States. The town was named after Benjamin Waite, a lumberman. The population was 105 at the 2000 census.
Waite is a small community served by one combination general store and US Post Office. The town is also home to two logging contractors. Waite shares its zip code, 04492, with the neighboring town of Talmadge.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 43.2 square miles (112 km), of which, 43.1 square miles (112 km) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km) of it (0.14%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 105 people, 49 households, and 32 families residing in the town. The population density was 2.4 people per square mile (0.9/km²). There were 84 housing units at an average density of 1.9 per square mile (0.8/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Waite skate park.
