Uniondale is a hamlet (and census-designated place) as well as a suburb of New York City in Nassau County, New York, United States, on Long Island, in the Town of Hempstead. The population was 24,759 at the 2010 United States Census.
Uniondale is located at 40°42′11″N 73°35′28″W / 40.70306°N 73.59111°W / 40.70306; -73.59111 (40.703097, -73.591070).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.7 square miles (7.0 km), all land. It is a diverse hamlet and neighbors the diverse towns of Hempstead, Roosevelt, Freeport, and East Meadow.
As of the 2000 census, there were 23,011 people, 6,026 households, and 4,826 families residing in Uniondale. The population density was 8,676.5 per square mile (3,352.7/km²). There were 6,201 housing units at an average density of 2,338.1/sq mi (903.5/km²).

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Understand all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
