Tierra Verde is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 3,574 at the 2000 census.
Located at the end of Tierra Verde is Fort De Soto (Pinellas) County Park.
Tierra Verde is located at 27°40′53″N 82°43′28″W / 27.68139°N 82.72444°W / 27.68139; -82.72444 (27.681353, -82.724408).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.8 km² (4.6 mi²). 3.8 km² (1.5 mi²) of it is land and 8.0 km² (3.1 mi²) of it (67.69%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 3,574 people, 1,661 households, and 1,132 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 938.7/km² (2,430.1/mi²). There were 1,975 housing units at an average density of 518.7/km² (1,342.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.89% White, 1.79% African American, 0.20% Native American, 0.98% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 0.48% from other races, and 0.53% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.41% of the population….

A 2023 report by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Tierra Verde skate park.
