Thaxton is a town in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 513 at the 2000 census. There is a town of the same name in Virginia (see Thaxton, Virginia)
Thaxton is located at 34°18′11″N 89°10′19″W / 34.30306°N 89.17194°W / 34.30306; -89.17194 (34.302923, -89.171979).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 8.5 square miles (22 km), of which, 8.5 square miles (22 km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km) of it (0.47%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 513 people, 173 households, and 146 families residing in the town. The population density was 60.4 people per square mile (23.3/km²). There were 192 housing units at an average density of 22.6 per square mile (8.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.22% White and 0.78% African American. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.17% of the population.

We will teach you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 report by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Thaxton skate park.
