Talmo is a town in Jackson County, Georgia, United States. The population was 477 at the 2000 census. It is named after a local Cherokee leader.
Talmo calls itself “The Jewel of Jackson County.”
The community was settled in 1840 on a Cherokee trail and derives its name from Talomeco. a native leader. It was incorporated in 1920.
Talmo is located at 34°11′15″N 83°42′59″W / 34.1875°N 83.71639°W / 34.1875; -83.71639 (34.187587, -83.716387).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.7 square miles (4.4 km), all of it land.
Talmo is located on US Route 129, north of Interstate 85.
As of the census of 2000, there were 477 people, 146 households, and 116 families residing in the town. The population density was 275.5 people per square mile (106.5/km²). There were 150 housing units at an average density of 86.6 per square mile (33.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 79.45% White, 4.19% African American, 0.21% Native American, 13.21% from other races…

No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the developed generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
