Statham is a city in Barrow County, Georgia, United States. The population was 2,040 at the 2000 census.
Statham is located at 33°57′56″N 83°35′48″W / 33.96556°N 83.59667°W / 33.96556; -83.59667 (33.965496, -83.596711).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.6 square miles (9.3 km), of which, 3.5 square miles (9.1 km) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km) of it (1.40%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,040 people, 731 households, and 551 families residing in the city. The population density was 577.9 people per square mile (223.1/km²). There were 774 housing units at an average density of 219.3 per square mile (84.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 82.35% White, 14.66% African American, 0.69% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.83% from other races, and 0.93% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.30% of the population.

Study all of the basics of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Statham skate park.
