Startex is a census-designated place (CDP) in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 859 at the 2010 census.
Startex is located at 34°55′54″N 82°5′55″W / 34.93167°N 82.09861°W / 34.93167; -82.09861 (34.931672, -82.098691).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.9 square miles (4.9 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 988 people, 391 households, and 265 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 516.1 people per square mile (199.7/km²). There were 443 housing units at an average density of 231.4/sq mi (89.6/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 87.55% White, 11.54% African American, 0.40% Asian, 0.51% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.13% of the population.
There were 391 households out of which 29.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.4% were married couples living together, 11.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.2…

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
