Spofford is a city in Kinney County, Texas, United States. The population was 75 at the 2000 census.
Spofford is located at 29°10′22″N 100°24′41″W / 29.17278°N 100.41139°W / 29.17278; -100.41139 (29.172681, -100.411388).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.52 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 75 people, 24 households, and 19 families residing in the city. The population density was 298.8 people per square mile (115.8/km²). There were 38 housing units at an average density of 151.4/sq mi (58.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 81.33% White, 18.67% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 52.00% of the population.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Spofford skate park.
