Sharon Springs is a city in and the county seat of Wallace County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 748.
The community is named after Sharon Springs, New York, some of whose families founded its Kansas namesake.
The rattlesnake roundup was held in May for many years but was discontinued in 2007. It provided prizes, exhibits, demonstrations, and food (including portions of rattlesnakes).
Sharon Springs is located at 38°53′44″N 101°45′3″W / 38.89556°N 101.75083°W / 38.89556; -101.75083 (38.895513, -101.750881). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 835 people, 354 households, and 227 families residing in the city. The population density was 900.0 people per square mile (346.7/km²). There were 408 housing units at an average density of 439.8 per square mile (169.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.05% White, 0.24% African American…

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
