Sergeantsville is an historic community located within Delaware Township, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States.
Sergeantsville was first settled by a Mr. Thatcher in 1700, and was later named for Charles Sergeant, an American Revolutionary War soldier, in honor of the Sergeant family of which three brothers were local shopkeepers. “Out-of-towners give themselves away when they pronounce the first syllable ‘sarge’; it’s ‘serge.'” Green Sergeant Covered Bridge, constructed in 1872 across the Wickecheoke Creek, is located just west of Sergeantsville and is the oldest remaining covered bridge in New Jersey.
Sergeantsville was officially created in 1827 when it became desirable to establish a post office. Until that time, this largely rural area was known as “Skunktown”, perhaps because the town served as a market center for skunk pelts.

We will teach you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Sergeantsville skate park.
