Sebeka (pronunciation: /səˈbiːkə/ sə-bee-kə) is a city in Wadena County, Minnesota, United States. Its population was 711 at the 2010 census. The name comes from an Ojibwe word meaning “town by the water”.
U.S. Highway 71 and State Highway 227 are two of the main routes in the community.
Sebeka originally grew around the depot of the K-line branch of the Great Northern Railway, which first came through the area in 1892. The first major industry in the area was logging. The town’s first store was the Anderson Pioneer Store. The town was incorporated on March 19, 1898. Its population has gone from 233 in 1900 to a peak of 818 in 1960.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.5 square miles (6.5 km), all of it land.
The Redeye River flows through the city.
As of the census of 2000, there were 710 people, 332 households, and 188 families residing in the city. The population density was 289.1 people per square mile (111.4/km²). There were 378 housing…

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Be taught all of the fundamentals of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Sebeka skate park.
