Saline ( /səˈliːn/) is a city in Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 8,810.
The city is popular for its annual Celtic Festival, which attracts people from all over the United States and its sister cities Brecon, Wales(established 1966) and Lindenberg, Germany (established 2003). It is also the hometown of the Saline Fiddlers and Fiddlers ReStrung, two nationally renowned high school bluegrass/fiddle groups. Saline, whose well-regarded school district is perhaps its biggest draw, was ranked the 43rd best place to live out of 1,300 rated cities in the United States in a 2005 CNN/Money Magazine poll, 59th in 2007’s poll, and 63rd in 2009’s CNN/Money Magazine and also made CNN/Money’s list of best places to retire in 2005.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Saline skate park.
