Rincon is a city in Effingham County, Georgia, United States. The population was 4,376 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Savannah Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The City of Rincon, in the southeast area of Effingham County, was first incorporated as recently as 1927. Even though its incorporation was not that long ago it appears that the earliest settlers came to the area in 1751. But, its existence as a full-fledged community with families and businesses dates back to the late 19th century. The origin and development of Rincon, Georgia really got its start with the coming of the railroad. Around the time of the turn of the 20th century a rail line was built from the Carolinas across the state line at the Savannah River and southward to Savannah. The name of the city is believed to have had its origin from the Spanish or Mexican name “Rincón” after a small but prosperous town in Mexico. (“Rincón” means “corner.”)

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Be taught all of the basics of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Rincon skate park.
