Ridge Manor is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hernando County, Florida, United States. The population was 4,108 at the 2000 census.
Ridge Manor is located at 28°29′57″N 82°10′53″W / 28.49917°N 82.18139°W / 28.49917; -82.18139 (28.499108, -82.181305).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 9.0 square miles (23 km), of which, 8.7 square miles (23 km) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 km) of it (3.43%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 4,108 people, 1,712 households, and 1,225 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 471.2 people per square mile (181.9/km²). There were 2,099 housing units at an average density of 240.8/sq mi (92.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.52% White, 1.85% African American, 0.49% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 1.07% from other races, and 0.78% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.87% of the population.

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
