Reisterstown is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland. Founded by German immigrant John Reister in 1758, it is located to the northwest of Baltimore. Though it is older than the areas surrounding it, it now serves primarily as a residential suburb of Baltimore. The center is designated the Reisterstown Historic District and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Also listed are the Montrose Mansion and Chapel and St. Michael’s Church.
Just outside the community, to its north, is the small military reservation of Camp Fretterd, which serves as a training site for the Maryland Army National Guard and Air Guard.
John Reister purchased a 20-acre (81,000 m) tract of land, which he called “Reister’s Desire,” along the Conewago Road on March 2, 1758. Skateboarding is a pastime activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Reisterstown skate park.
