Ramah (Navajo: Tłʼohchiní) is a census-designated place (CDP) in McKinley County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 407 at the 2000 census.
Ramah is located at 35°8′6″N 108°29′16″W / 35.135°N 108.48778°W / 35.135; -108.48778 (35.135013, -108.487798). Its altitude is 6,926 feet (2,111 m).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.8 square miles (9.8 km), all of it land.
Ramah was one of fifty locations settled in the New Mexico Territory under the direction of Brigham Young, a notable prophet within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and is one of only three that still remain today. Ramah was originally settled by Mormon pioneers for the purpose of missionary work to be carried out within the Zuni and Navajo communities. Ramah Lake was built by these same Mormon pioneers in order to farm the surrounding area, which receives little rainfall on a yearly basis. Discover Skateboarding in a Two Week-Long School

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Do you want to learn skateboarding?

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Study all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your current skill level.

How to Start:

Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.

Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Ramah skate park.
