Penrose is a census-designated place (CDP) in Fremont County, Colorado, United States. The population was 4,070 at the 2000 census. The Penrose Post Office has the ZIP Code 81240.
Penrose is located at 38°25′36″N 105°0′27″W / 38.42667°N 105.0075°W / 38.42667; -105.0075 (38.426756, -105.007568).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 33.4 square miles (87 km), of which, 33.3 square miles (86 km) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km) of it (0.45%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 4,070 people, 1,475 households, and 1,159 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 122.3 people per square mile (47.2/km²). There were 1,562 housing units at an average density of 46.9 per square mile (18.1/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.28% White, 0.22% African American, 0.88% Native American, 0.37% Asian, 1.72% from other races, and 1.52% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.64% of the population….

We will teach you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered that there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
