Peake is a small rural community in South Australia situated along the Mallee Highway (B12), approximately 150km east of Adelaide. At the 2006 census, Peake had a population of 231.
Peake was settled in 1912 as a farming community and named after the Premier at the time, Archibald Henry Peake (1909). Along on of the major railway lines of the time, many settlers and travelers passed along the route.
In 1995, the District Council of Peake amalgamated with the District Council of Peake and Meningie District Council to form the Coorong District Council.
A walk established for visitors to show the historic landmarks of Peake. The relatively short walk takes highlights all of the first facilities built when the town was settled in the 1900s.

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Be taught all of the fundamentals of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Peake skate park.
