Pawnee City is a city in Pawnee County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 1,033 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Pawnee County.
Pawnee City is located at 40°6′38″N 96°9′13″W / 40.11056°N 96.15361°W / 40.11056; -96.15361 (40.110603, -96.153553). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,033 people, 474 households, and 264 families residing in the city. The population density was 881.9 people per square mile (340.9/km²). There were 542 housing units at an average density of 462.7 per square mile (178.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.13% White, 0.19% Native American, 0.10% Asian, and 0.58% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.68% of the population.

A 2023 report by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
