Pawhuska is a city in and the county seat of Osage County, Oklahoma, United States, and the capital of the Osage Nation. The population was 3,589 at the 2010 census, a decline of 1.2 percent from 3,629 at the 2000 census. The ZIP Code for the city is 74056. It was named for the 19th century Osage chief, Pawhuska.
The Osage Agency, which opened here in 1872, continues its operations in Pawhuska to the present.
The town, originally known as Deep Ford, began in 1872 with the establishment of the Osage Indian Agency on Bird Creek in the Osage Nation, part of Indian Territory. Traders soon followed, building stores during 1872 and 1873. Pawhuska’s first newspaper, the Indian Herald, began in 1875 and its post office opened in 1876. The Midland Valley Railroad reached Pawhuska in September, 1905. By the time of statehood in 1907, the town population was 2,407.

Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
