Nunn is a Statutory Town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 471 at the 2000 census. The town is small rural agricultural community located on the Colorado Eastern Plains north of Greeley. Somewhat isolated, it is surrounded by flat cultivated countryside of the Colorado Piedmont in area historically known for raising cattle, sheep, sugar beets, beans and potatoes. The town was founded as a shipping point on the Denver Pacific Railroad in the late 19th century and today sits along the western side of U.S. Highway 85 between Greeley and Cheyenne, Wyoming. It consists of a small grid of single-family homes on gravel streets. The town has suffered a decline in both its economy and population beginning in the middle 20th century, and today the former storefronts along Logan Street parallel to the highway are largely boarded up. Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Nunn skate park.
