Nordman is a Swedish group founded in 1993, that mixes folk music with rock and pop. This genre is called etnorock or folk rock in Swedish. The group consists of Håkan Hemlin, as singer and frontman and Mats Wester, who plays the nyckelharpa as well as serving as the main songwriter..
The group’s biggest hits were Förlist (“Shipwrecked”) and Vandraren (“The Wanderer”). The group split up in 1998 because of the lead singer’s drug problem, but reunited in 2004. They made a comeback in the Swedish Melodifestivalen with the song Ödet var min väg and released a comeback album called Anno 2005 in 2005.
In 2008, they competed once again in Melodifestivalen with the song I lågornas sken and finished in sixth place behind winner Charlotte Perrelli.
His song “Vandraren” was covered by Blackmore’s Night on their 2010 album Autumn Sky and by Ensiferum on their 2009 album From Afar.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Find out all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your current skill level.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Nordman skate park.
