Newsoms is a town in Southampton County, Virginia, United States. The population was 282 at the 2000 census.
Newsoms is located at 36°37′40″N 77°07′36″W / 36.627714°N 77.126695°W / 36.627714; -77.126695 (36.627714, -77.126695).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 282 people, 124 households, and 77 families residing in the town. The population density was 559.1 people per square mile (217.8/km). There were 141 housing units at an average density of 279.5 per square mile (108.9/km). The racial makeup of the town was 54.96% White and 45.04% African American.

Learn all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Newsoms skate park.
