Nemours is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France.
Nemours is located on the Loing and its canal, c. 42 km (26 mi) south of Melun, on the Paris-Lyon railway.
Nemours is supposed to derive its name from the woods (nemora) in the midst of which it formerly stood, and discoveries of Gallo-Roman remains indicate its early origin. It was captured by the English in 1420, but derives its historical importance rather from the lordship (afterwards duchy) to which it gave its name. In 1585 a treaty revoking previous concessions to the Protestants was concluded at Nemours between Catherine de’ Medici and the Guises.
The church, which dates mainly from the sixteenth century, has a handsome wooden spire. The feudal castle, erected around 1120 was turned into a museum in the 20th century. It has a central keep with four rounded towers.
A statue of the mathematician Bézout (d. 1783), a native of the town, was erected in 1885.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Nemours skate park.
