Mount Pocono is a borough in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is located in the Poconos region of the state.
As of the 2000 census, the borough population was 2,742.
Mount Pocono is located at 41°7′23″N 75°21′34″W / 41.12306°N 75.35944°W / 41.12306; -75.35944 (41.123012, -75.359574).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.0 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,742 people, 1,038 households, and 712 families residing in the borough. The population density was 792.2 people per square mile (306.0/km²). There were 1,239 housing units at an average density of 358.0 per square mile (138.3/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 29.15% White, 33.45% Black or African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.91% Asian, 3.54% from other races, and 2.63% from two or more races. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Mount Pocono skate park.
