OUR SKATE INSTRUCTORS

Conner V. from Turlock, California!

I’ve taught kids/teens/adults anything from ollies to varial kickflips, hospital flips, manuals, one-footed, hang 5’s, grinding, gaps, transfers, pop shuvits, heel flips, and Caspers. There’s a lot I have taught, and a lot of kids/ teens look up to me at the park. I help a lot with footwork, foot placement, transfer of weight, etc. I take pride in seeing them accomplish something I taught them how to do.

Austin F. from Turlock, California!

I’m a lifelong skateboarder who grew up on the east coast of Florida. The skateboard culture where I’m from is 2nd only to California, with state-of-the-art parks nearly every 20 miles. I’ve been skating since I was ten years old or a grand total of 16 years, and I’ve loved every second of it! I think I’d make a great Go Skate instructor because sharing skateboarding is almost as rewarding as actually skateboarding, and it’s not uncommon for me to find myself spending a session helping out the groms learn tricks, sometimes even being taught by them. Any opportunity to spread the shred and give another person the love that skateboarding has given me is an opportunity I’m here to take! My specialty is flat ground and ledge skating but has a long history of teaching the basics to kids all the way up to my adult friends who decided to start skating during the pandemic!

Discover Skateboarding in a Week-Long School

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality. The largest change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
