Mima (美馬市, Mima-shi) is a city located in Tokushima, Japan.
It was founded on March 1, 2005, when Mima District was divided into the city of Mima and Mima District. The towns of Mima, Anabuki, Waki, and the village of Koyadaira, became part of the city of Mima, while the towns of Handa, Sadamitsu, and the village of Ichiu merged to form the town of Tsurugi, part of Mima District.
As of 2009, the city has an estimated population of 32,844 and a density of 89.401 persons per km². The total area is 367.38 km². About 20.1% is inhabitable land.
The name Mima (美馬) is derived from two characters meaning “Beautiful Horse”. Mima was once home to many horse breeders. Although breeders and keepers are not so common in present-day Mima, the history lives on today in art, local products, and such.

We will teach you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Mima skate park.
