Meshoppen is a borough in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 459 at the 2000 census.
Meshoppen is located at 41°36′53″N 76°2′47″W / 41.61472°N 76.04639°W / 41.61472; -76.04639 (41.614691, -76.046276).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 459 people, 175 households, and 113 families residing in the borough. The population density was 642.7 people per square mile (249.6/km²). There were 209 housing units at an average density of 292.6 per square mile (113.7/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 99.35% White, 0.22% Native American, 0.22% from other races, and 0.22% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.22% of the population.
There were 175 households out of which 38.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 37.7% were married couples living together, 19.4% had a female householder with no husband…

Do you want to learn how to skateboard?

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Understand all of the basics of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Meshoppen skate park.
