Lyons Falls is a village in Lewis County, New York, United States. The population was 591 at the 2000 census.
The Village of Lyons Falls is on the border of the Town of West Turin and the Town of Lyonsdale. It is at the junction of NYS Route 12 and NYS Route 12D, about 15 miles (24 km) south of Lowville, the county seat.
The village was at the northern end of the Black River Canal, when it was completed in 1858.
Lyons Falls is located at 43°37′1″N 75°21′42″W / 43.61694°N 75.36167°W / 43.61694; -75.36167 (43.616984, -75.361750).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.1 square miles (2.8 km), of which, 1.0 square mile (2.6 km) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km) of it (8.41%) is water.
The Black River flows through the village and is joined by the Moose River.
As of the census of 2000, there were 591 people, 238 households, and 157 families residing in the village. The population density was 602.1 people per square mile (232.8/km²)….

A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
