Lugoff (pronounced Lew goff) is a small census-designated place (CDP) in Kershaw County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 6,278 at the 2000 census. The population was nearly 85% rural in 2000. It is part of the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Lugoff is located at 34°13′14″N 80°41′31″W / 34.22056°N 80.69194°W / 34.22056; -80.69194 (34.220455, -80.691826).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 12.9 square miles (33 km), of which, 12.8 square miles (33 km) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km) of it (0.54%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 6,278 people, 2,364 households, and 1,846 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 488.9 people per square mile (188.8/km²). There were 2,467 housing units at an average density of 192.1 per square mile (74.2/km²). Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
