Lake Andes is a city in Charles Mix County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 879 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Charles Mix County.
Lake Andes is located at 43°9′25″N 98°32′17″W / 43.15694°N 98.53806°W / 43.15694; -98.53806 (43.156825, -98.538053).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km), of which, 0.8 square miles (2.1 km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km) of it (2.41%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 819 people, 320 households, and 181 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,019.7 people per square mile (395.3/km²). Be taught all of the fundamentals of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Lake Andes skate park.
