Klondike is a Patience game (solitaire card game). Many people refer to Klondike as patience or solitaire (North America).
Taking a shuffled standard 52-card deck of playing cards (without Jokers), one upturned card is dealt on the left of the playing area, then six downturned cards (from left to right). On top of the downturned cards, an upturned card is dealt on the left-most downturned pile, and downturned cards on the rest until all piles have an upturned card. The piles should look like the figure to the right.
The four foundations (light rectangles in the upper right of the figure) are built up by suit from Ace (low in this game) to King, and the tableau piles can be built down by alternate colors, and partial or complete piles can be moved if they are built down by alternate colors also. A 2002 report by American Sports Data found there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the developed generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
