Homosassa Springs is a census-designated place (CDP) in Citrus County, Florida, United States. The population was 12,458 at the 2000 census.
The name derives from the warm spring located in the Wildlife State Park that attracts manatees to the area.
Homosassa Springs is located at 28°48′26″N 82°33′0″W / 28.80722°N 82.55°W / 28.80722; -82.55 (28.807216, -82.550012).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 25.8 square miles (67 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 12,458 people, 5,201 households, and 3,604 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 482.1 people per square mile (186.1/km²). There were 6,041 housing units at an average density of 233.8/sq mi (90.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.65% White, 0.90% African American, 0.68% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 1.05% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.09% of the population.

Learn all of the basics of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
