Hokah is a city in Houston County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 580 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km), of which, 0.7 square miles (1.8 km) of it is land and 1.37% is water.
Minnesota State Highways 16 and 44 are two of the main routes in the community. Minnesota State Highway 26 is nearby.
As of the census of 2000, there were 614 people, 271 households, and 159 families residing in the city. The population density was 860.1 people per square mile (333.9/km²). There were 278 housing units at an average density of 389.4 per square mile (151.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.37% White, 1.14% African American, 0.16% from other races, and 0.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.81% of the population.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

We will teach you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Hokah skate park.
