Hendricks is a town in Tucker County, West Virginia, USA. The population was 319 at the 2000 census. The Blackwater River and the Dry Fork join at Hendricks to form the Black Fork, a principal tributary of the Cheat River.
In 1803, after three unproductive years in nearby Canaan Valley, German settler Henry Fansler (d. 1843) settled at the mouth of the Blackwater River at the present site of Hendricks. He called the settlement “Eden”. Hendricks was incorporated in 1894 and was named by local coal and timber magnate Henry Gassaway Davis for Vice President Thomas A. Hendricks.
Hendricks is located at 39°4′30″N 79°37′53″W / 39.075°N 79.63139°W / 39.075; -79.63139 (39.074883, -79.631399).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.9 km²). 0.3 square miles (0.9 km²) of it is land and 2.86% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 319 people, 123 households, and 100 families residing in the town. The population density was 925.9…

A 2002 report by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Hendricks skate park.
