The name ‘Heman’ is a Jewish name, meaning ‘Faithful’. It is found sixteen times in the New International Version of the Bible.
Heman was one of 3 Levites assigned by King David to be ministers of music. He was a grandson of Samuel the prophet. He went on to become King David’s seer, and to have 14 sons. The title of Psalm 88 ascribes it to Heman. This Psalm seems to have been written in a state of despair. According to Martin Marty, a professor of church history at the University of Chicago, Psalm 88 is “a wintry landscape of unrelieved bleakness.”
Psalm 88 ends by saying:
You have taken my companions and loved ones from me; the darkness is my closest friend. (Psalm 88:18, NIV).
Indeed, in Hebrew, the last word of the Psalm 88 is “darkness”.

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Heman skate park.
