Heimdal is the southernmost borough in Trondheim, Norway named after the god Heimdall in Norse mythology. The area has been continuously inhabited since at least the Iron Age, and is rich in archaeological sites.
The area around the railway station was until 1964 the center of two separate local municipalities, Tiller and Leinstrand. The western part of Heimdal consists of the rural areas of Byneset, also a separate municipality until 1964. The eastern part of Heimdal, Tillerbyen, is a recent development, planned to ease the pressure on central Trondheim from the commercial boom in the city.
The area where Tillerbyen has been built was initially swamp, but it was drained in the 1930s as an airport was planned here. The German invaders of 1940 halted these plans, as they rather wanted an airport at Lade.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
