Heart Butte is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pondera County, Montana, United States. The population was 698 at the 2000 census.
Heart Butte is located at 48°17′24″N 112°50′4″W / 48.29°N 112.83444°W / 48.29; -112.83444 (48.290058, -112.834432).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.5 square miles (12 km), of which, 4.5 square miles (12 km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km) of it (0.44%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 698 people, 164 households, and 142 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 154.9 people per square mile (59.9/km²). There were 185 housing units at an average density of 41.1 per square mile (15.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 10% (mexican) 4.73% White, 0.14% African American, 93.70% Native American, 0.29% Asian, and 1.15% from two or more races. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
