Hazen is a city in Mercer County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 2,411 at the 2010 census. Hazen was founded in 1913. Hazen has a K-12 school system.
It is located about a fifteen minutes south of Lake Sakakawea, the largest lake in North Dakota and the third largest man-made lake in the United States.
Hazen is located at 47°17′49″N 101°37′25″W / 47.29694°N 101.62361°W / 47.29694; -101.62361 (47.297083, -101.623616).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,457 people, 937 households, and 684 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,981.6 inhabitants per square mile (765.0/km²). There were 1,131 housing units at an average density of 912.2 per square mile (352.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.07% White, 0.12% African American, 1.75% Native American, 0.28% Asian, 0.16% Pacific Islander, 0.08% from other races, and 0.53%…

Do you want to learn how to skateboard?

Be taught all of the fundamentals of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
