Hassell is located at 35°54′27″N 77°16′43″W / 35.907548°N 77.278684°W / 35.907548; -77.278684.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.78 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 72 people, 32 households, and 20 families residing in the town. The population density was 266.2 people per square mile (103.0/km). There were 33 housing units at an average density of 122.0 per square mile (47.2/km). The racial makeup of the town was 37.50% White, and 62.50% African American.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2023 report by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the developed generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Hassell skate park.
