Harlow is a new town and local government district in Essex, England. It is located in the west of the county and on the border with Hertfordshire, on the Stort Valley, The town is near the M11 motorway and forms part of the London commuter belt.The district has a current population of 78,889 (2010 estimate).
There is some dispute as to where the placename Harlow derives from. One theory is that it derives from the Anglo-Saxon words ‘here’ and ‘hlaw’, meaning “army hill”, probably to be identified with Mulberry Hill, which was used as the moot or meeting place for the district.
The other theory is that it derives from the words ‘here’ and ‘hearg’, meaning “temple hill/mound”, probably to be identified with an Iron Age burial mound, later a Roman temple site on River Way.
The original village, mentioned in the Norman Domesday Book, developed as a typical rural community around what is now known as Old Harlow, with many of its buildings still standing.

A 2023 report by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Find out all of the fundamentals of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your current skill level.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Harlow skate park.
